In response to the declining birth rate and the resulting manpower needs, Shu-Te University of Science and Technology has established the "Career & Employment Hub for International Students" in accordance with the Ministry of Education's policy. Adhering to the core principles of "local roots, international connections," the hub collaborates closely with industry to provide comprehensive services including job fairs, company visits, internship matching, and Mandarin courses. • Online applications take approximately 15–30 working days to process, and fees are non-refundable.
• Required documents: Graduation certificate, proof of work experience or Points System eligibility, travel plan, color copy of a valid passport, and a 2-inch passport photo with a white background (no hat).

1. I haven't graduated yet. Can I start looking for internships or jobs early?
We highly encourage it! We recommend that international students start gaining practical experience as early as possible. The Hub regularly organizes corporate visits and internship matching events to help you gain a deep understanding of the workplace culture in Taiwan while you are still a student, building a solid foundation for your formal job search after graduation.
2. What is the "Points System" for international students? How do I know if I meet the criteria?
The Points System is a review mechanism for overseas Chinese and international students to work in Taiwan, scoring based on criteria such as education, salary, work experience, and language proficiency. As long as the total score reaches 70 points, an employer can apply for a hiring permit for you. The Hub’s consulting team can assist you with a preliminary calculation and provide practical advice on how to increase your score.
3. Can I find a good job in Taiwan if my Mandarin is not yet fluent?
Absolutely! As enterprises in Taiwan globalize, many technology, foreign trade, and multinational companies are eager for talent with multicultural backgrounds and English (or native language) advantages. In addition to matching you with such vacancies, the Hub provides professional workplace Mandarin courses to help you communicate and collaborate more smoothly with your team after joining.

5. Are the Hub's counseling services free? Who is eligible to sign up?
All counseling services, seminars, and matching activities provided by the Hub are completely free.
